June 22, 2013 at Sunset Park 33 Holes Each for Round 1 & 2and 34 Holes for Round 3 Online Entry <--> Mail-in Entry <--> Registered UPDATES May 15, 2013 I would like to thank Billy Matthews (Desert Oasis) and Enrico Litterini (West Career & Technical Academy) for coordinating the 1st Annual Nevada State High School Disc Golf Championships. They played 9 Holes at Red Ridge Disc Golf Course in 10-20 MPH winds and did a great job! I had a great time time and really enjoyed seeing them play and having a great time. They used the top three players scores. PAR was 37 and Team Desert Oasis finished with a 106 and Team West Career & Technical Academy finished at 118. I also want to Thank all the parents for supporting their kids in a sport that we all love so very much. Here is a PHOTO of the Teams. May 14, 2013 The meeting with the City Of North Las Vegas Parks and Recreation Advisory Board yesterday went very well. I want to thank all those that showed up to support. I also want to Thank Jeff Jacquart, Ed "Pappy" Brooks and Jesse Hynie for speaking to the Board. We will continue to work with the City of North Las Vegas and will keep every updated. October "Gentlemen's Club Challenge Warm-up" Monthly Results The Club has grown to a size that makes it hard to manage some of our events at both Mountain Crest and Sunset Park so in order to accommodate the courses and try and make our event run smoother the Board has decided to try the following... so Effective immediately ALL Monthly Events will Start at 9:00AM SHARP with signups starting at 7:30AM and the LAST signup being taken at 8:45AM. Also effective immediately ALL Bag Tag Events for both Mountain Crest and Sunset Parks will have staggered starts as follows... ALL PRO, Advanced & any women that want to play will Start at 9:00AM SHARP with signups starting at 7:30AM and the LAST signup being taken at 8:45AM so we can TEE by 9:00AM. So, NO Signups will be taken 8:45AM ALL Intermediate, Recreational & any women that want to play will Start at 1:00PM SHARP with signups starting at 11:30AM and the LAST signup being taken at 12:45PM so we can TEE by 13:00AM. So, NO Signups will be taken 12:45PM January 29, 2013 Finally after a long wait here are the 2013 LVDGC Ice Bowl Results I have been swamped and apologize for the delay in getting this posted. So, What does $1,000 buy you at Walmart, when only thinking about kids in need. Well…how about 43 pairs of pants/sweats, 23 pairs of jeans, 14 pairs of pjs, 12 packages of socks, 10 packages of undies, 4 bottles of baby wash, 4 bottles of baby lotion, 12 pairs of shoes, 680 diapers, 224 pull ups, 800 baby wipes, and less than $7 in change for a future purchase. This is what was bought with the $400 donated to Peggy’s Attic from the Toys for Tots event and the $600 donated to Peggy’s Attic from the Ice Bowl event. Well done LVDGC…well done! We have found a cause that could use us throughout the year, who greatly appreciates your efforts. January 22, 2013 LVDGC Ice Bowl Summary – We had 111 players participate in the Las Vegas Disc Golf Club’s 2013 Ice Bowl Charity Event. Although $1,375 was collected in entry fees, half of those entry fees ($687.5) will be donated to Shade Tree Shelter and Child Haven/Peggy’s Attic. Additionally, all 114 mulligans purchased at the event ($570 total), and the extra cash donated by players and family ($80) will be donated to Shade Tree Shelter and Child Haven/Peggy’s Attic. And, $100 in profits made from the limited 2013 Ice Bowl merchandise sales will be donated to Shade Tree Shelter and Child Haven/Peggy’s Attic. Finally, the LVDGC kicked in another $162.50…making the total cash donations to both charities equaling $1,600 ($1,000 to Shade Tree and $600 to Peggy’s Attic). Shade Tree will also receive $120 in donated gift cards, 400 pounds of canned goods/hygiene items, and approximately 400 pounds of gently used clothing and shoes. Special thanks to Randy “Spud” Wilcox and Shawn Stokes for winning special prizes for donating the most goods. - Once again LVDGC Rocked! January 07, 2013 Posted the latest Handicap Re-Test at Mountain Crest Handicap League Results Posted the 2013 Ice Bowl MAP with the draft layout. Jeff Jacquart (LVDGC Treasurer) is donating a special disc out of his private collection to the person who brings in the biggest value donation! Our goal is $1,500 cash and at least one Expedition full of canned goods. We had 114 players at our January 2013 Bag Tag event. Here are the Results and the current Point Standings. December 27, 2012 Posted the latest 2012 Handicap Re-Test at Mountain Crest Handicap League Results Gentlemen's Club Challenge Online Sign-ups AM Weekend and PRO Weekend now available Posted the Approved LVDGC Bylaws We had 70 players at our Toys for Tots / Goods for Homeless Teens and Bag Tag Payout Event today - Results - We raised over $700 along with lots of clothes and toys.
